Donald Trump, hypocrisy & hysteria!

Over the last few days, I have become more, and more, annoyed.
During this same period, I have become less, and less, of a GOP voter.
What has caused such a dramatic, titanic shift for me?
No, it was not ignorant, biased liberals in the media, on social media or such, but conservatives.
For the past 8 years, I’ve listened to many white conservatives rightfully complain about being labeled a racist for no other reason than they are white & conservative.
How wrong is that!?
So very wrong that I’ve felt it my pleasure to defend many of these people, speak out & do the right thing.
Heck, I may have been defending a KKK member, but it didn’t matter, because without PROOF, you’re an asshole.
Hey, I’m weird like that.
I don’t care if you’re a redneck, poor, conservative, liberal, rich, etc.
If there is no proof, I’m not leveling such a heinous accusation.
NOW, fast forward to today, & these saaaame white conservatives are using the same tactics to attack Donald Trump.
Facts? Nope.
Statistical evidence showing a greater number of people who support Trump are card carrying Trump voters? Nope.
Dudes in white hoods at Trump rallies? Nope.
Just more flimsy, idiotic, devoid of any facts, heinous accusations.
The SAME type of accusations these conservative hypocrites were so upset about just months/weeks ago.
SMH.
And heaven forbid you point out their idiotic hypocrisy, because then they will start spewing their oh so common diatribe about you not being a ‘REAL’ conservative, loving the Constitution & you’re a racist, just like Trump.
Yes, me, the black guy whose actually experienced REAL LIFE racism, is defending a ‘racist’.
Yep, THAT sounds logical.
It would be comical if it were not so infuriating.

Not so trusTED. I tried to warn #CruzCrew…

 

First off, this is NOT a dig at Ted Cruz, or even his voters.
This isn’t even me saying “I told you so!”, even though, well, I told you so!
After Iowa, I tried to warn Cruz voters, seemingly ad nauseam, that the Iowa ‘scandal’ would be a much bigger deal than they wanted to acknowledge.
It was NOT that claiming Ben Carson had dropped out was the worst offense in the rough & tumble game of politics, or that they were the only candidate who spread this rumor.
The REAL problem was that it began the narrative that Ted Cruz was not an honest, trustworthy person.
Anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows that once the trust goes, it’s damn near impossible to get it back.
The fiasco was one thing, but Ted Cruz’s silence was WORSE, in my opinion, & I’m pretty sure it was in many other voters minds.
THAT is what Cruz voters could not seem to grasp.
Dare I say it’s because they love Cruz soooo much that they could not be objective about the danger their beloved candidate was in.
By not coming out RIGHT AWAY & saying, “I don’t know what happened, but I WILL find the person who spread this story without verifying it, & deal with it swiftly!“, Cruz showed no leadership, & himself didn’t immediately kill the quickly growing problem.
When you’re saying that you’re the most ethical politician on the trail, you’re the one people should trust, & that you’ll end the corruption, you absolutely can NOT do anything that seems to violate your core message!!!
That’s marketing 101!
Ted Cruz let a small story become his defining narrative.
By not showing the necessary leadership, and FIRING someone IMMEDIATELY, Cruz made his biggest mistake!
So, now Cruz has finally fired someone …. but, weeks too late!
Even worse, it was after a very disgusting smear of another candidate’s faith.
SMH.
Now, the memes are all over the internet.
The stigma has set in.
Rubio smells blood.
Trump has been after him for blood for weeks.
Not one Senator has come out to say “Ted IS an honest person, & you should trust him America!”
Now, his very good, creative, powerful slogan of ‘TrusTED’ looks like a joke!

EVERYONE knows that your name is the one thing you can NOT lose, especially when running for office (Go ask Hillary Clinton. She doesn’t have a good name, so she’s running on sexism, racism & elitism! Real positive message there.)

I don’t know if Cruz can come back from this, but he needs to do some couples therapy with the voters to mend the lost trust.

Good luck Ted. People don’t hate you, they just don’t trust you … for now.

A big earthquake with the strength of 8.1 on the Richter scale hits the Middle East .
Two million Muslims die and over a million are injured.
Iraq, Iran and Syria are totally ruined and the governments don’t know where to start with providing help to rebuild.
The rest of the world is in shock.
Britain is sending troops to help keep the peace.
Saudi Arabia is sending oil & monetary assistance.
Latin American countries are sending clothing.
New Zealand and Australia are sending sheep, cattle and food crops.
The Asian countries are sending labor to assist in rebuilding the infrastructure.
Canada is sending medical teams and supplies.

President Trump, not to be outdone, is sending back two million replacement Muslims.

I can hear my dad laughing with his deep, bellowing, wall shaking laugh
It always cracks me up to talk to my dad about politics.
We argue, he’s wrong (duh), he won’t admit it (like father, like son), we argue some more, I’m still right, & finally, exhausted, one of us walks away.
Seriously though, supposedly he’s a Democrat, but even he winces when he says that & quickly adds ‘..but these current Democrats are dumbasses!’
He is NOT a Democrat.
He just refuses to be labeled a Republican either.
He is fiscally conservative, personally conservative & STRONGLY believes in doing for others.
If THAT is not a damn conservative, I don’t know what is.
So why is it that Republicans cannot win over these voters?
There are millions of them out there like my father.
One, he dislikes what Obama’s done to the country; two, can NOT STAND Hillary’s lying, corrupt, fake, old ass!; three, thinks the country is at a pivotal, very troubling place; four, thinks Democrats are too radical on abortion, gay activism, spend too much & have abandoned God.
(Once again, he’s NOT a modern day Democrat!)
My dad doesn’t like Bernie, yet he also doesn’t like any of the Republicans.
Then, then when you ask him about Donald Trump, he gets animated.
“He’s a crazy sonuvabitch, but I like him. He’s trying to fix this broken system, economy & help out the middle class. He just might scare these assholes in DC!”
Like me, my dad is a businessman, so we both place a ton of experience on business experience.
We both also feel Trump can make the deals necessary to improve the economy, & IF he’s dealing with stubborn Democrats trying to play the race card, the ‘Republicans hate poor people!’ card, Trump will actually FIGHT BACK…and hard!
He won’t be a lil b*tch like these current Republicans, who are afraid of the Democrats mere threats of calling them racists, sexists & elitists.
Uggg, punks.
Maybe if Republicans had some balls, took the fight to Democrats, the media, unions, atheist & more, they’d win more ‘Democrats’ like my dad.

Anyways, it’s nice, because this might be the first time in our lives that my dad & I like the same candidate.

America, from Constitutional Republic to banana republic.

Sometimes, I really do hate being wrong.
I know, to many that seems like a bald face lie!
There is no way an arrogant, opinionated, sarcastic, short tempered, self proclaimed ‘Stubborn’ guy hates to be wrong.
Ok, all good points, but seriously, I don’t want to be right … THIS TIME!
Today, I said America is no longer heading towards being a banana republic, we’re already here!
For those of you unfamiliar with the term, it means:

A pejorative political science term for politically unstable countries in Latin America whose economies are largely dependent on exporting a limited-resource product. It typically has stratified social classes, including a large, impoverished working class and a ruling plutocracy of business, political, and military elites.[1] This politico-economic oligarchy controls the primary-sector productions to exploit the country’s economy.

Now, tell me how the [formerly] good ol’ US of A is not that, ESPECIALLY the last part!!
We live in an America were the laws don’t apply to everyone, only those not connected.
We live in a country that politicians write any rules they want, & the courts NEVER seem to say, “Umm, no! You’ve gone too far! Reign it in.”
I want to be wrong, but you’re gonna have to prove I’m wrong.
Here are my facts…
* Hillary Clinton CLEARLY broke the law, yet we’re actually debating IF she’ll get indicted, not WHEN.
* Juxtapose Hillary Clinton’s well connected treatment with that of General Petraeus. He ‘mishandled government secrets’ too, & literally just months ago! Why is he stripped of rank, indicted & embarrassed for exposing secrets, while she gets to run for president? The president is commander of the military, that if her files WERE stolen, she just put those military members lives at risk?
* Planned Parenthood. I don’t even know where to start. When we indict people trying to expose criminal wrongdoing to protect the evil darlings of one party, we’ve lost our way. How can anyone have faith in the justice system?
* Obama executive orders. This guy has no respect for the checks & balances of our Constitution. He’s helped by a weak opposition party that is more afraid of being called racists by a complicit, corrupt media, than they are afraid of what our country looks like with an imperial president.
* Our debt. It’s never been so high. While our GDP, our nation’s income, is going down, to stagnant, our debt is going up. ‘Our debt would be like consumers have $300,000 in credit card debt!!’, said Geri Willis of Fox Business. Wow. Could YOU get out of that mountain of debt anytime soon, if ever?
* Obamacare. Here’s another shit show we can thank only the Democrats for. Millions of Americans were forced to buy a product they don’t want, can’t afford, which doesn’t cover their needs, has high deductibles (out of pocket costs), so they can’t afford to even use it, IF they could afford the much higher premiums, AND the same number of uninsured people exist as before. Umm, WTF?! Now, if we tried, it failed & DC politicians said “We must go back to the old system, or a free market system, after trying the government run system!”, then I could at least say they’re listening & learning, but THEY’RE NOT! No, they’re telling Americans to suck it up, deal with it or “I don’t care, because I’ve got my gold plated, awesome healthcare, which you tax payers pay for!”
* Trust. There is none. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Nein. ‘We The People..’ feel, for good reason, unheard, pushed around, bullied, abused, cheated, ripped off & worst of all, like there’s nothing we can do about it. THAT is a real crisis.If we don’t trust our government to be at least somewhat fair, how can they govern? If the people don’t have confidence, then they don’t spend money, & with our nations debt, we NEED people to spend!

My blood is starting to boil (& I’m pretty sure #Obamacare won’t cover that!), so I’m going to stop now.
That being said, I’ve laid out just A FEW of my arguments for why America is more banana republic, than Constitutional Republic.
Feel free to argue your case, poke holes in mine & change my mind.
Seriously, PLEASE, CHANGE MY MIND!
I do NOT want to be so negative, & bummed out, over the direction of our country, but I also don’t like lying to myself.

At times like this, I feel the only words that can be said are: “God help us.”
